.: Nightmares!

A Nightmare is often called a Dream. They produce the sensations of fear, horror, being in danger, falling, drowning and even death. You may wake up suddenly in a state of distress. That is why a Nightmare is also known as a Waking Dream. The fear that you experience wakes you with what is called a negative emotion.

It has been said that these are not very common in a child under five years old. We happen to see it more often in children over five and upwards into the teenage years during which time a Nightmare may occur weekly. In most adults the percentage drops as they get older.

Some people have beliefs that Nightmares are the work of the demon incubi, who was thought to sit on the chest of those sleeping. Others call it the Hag. All seem to experience the same feelings of someone sitting on their chest, causing them to waken without being able to move. This will cause the fear and is more commonly known as sleep paralysis. Advance causes really seem to come from various forms of Magic, or Spells that are put upon one, for some reason or other. Then of course there is what is called Spiritual Possession. Any of these will require special help for you to be rid of them.

Of course, some say we experience a Nightmare due to something that we may have eaten before going to bed. Spicy foods, fatty foods and most commonly greasy foods are some of the things that seem to come to mind. Others say that we do not sleep well. For example, we may not go to bed at the proper time every night. Therefore, we get a little sleep. Others say that we may be getting too much sleep, going to bed early and sleeping in late. Then, there are those who seem to stay up all night and most of the next day, and when you finally do get to rest, you are so tired that the Nightmares come more often, as we are sleeping more soundly.

Over half of our dreams are called negative Nightmares. Therefore, it is said that you should try your best to have a set routine. Going to bed at the same time every night and getting up at the same time in the mornings, with no more then 8 hours sleep, should reduce your Nightmares. You may believe that, but what happens if you follow that advice and you are still having Nightmares? Yes, you should seek out someone who knows about Spiritual Possession and different forms of Magic. You never know if a Spell has been put upon you, and only a person with that sort of insight could help you. There are many people out there who claim they can help. You should be seeking someone who really knows how to help. That is the difference between having a restful sleep and having a Nightmare.
